Villagers regularly drink from lakes, ponds, and rivers, which is the same water used for bathing, laundry, and watering cattle.

Fresh drinking water is an urgent need.

  • Over 80% of India's population does not have access to clean drinking water
  • 85% of diseases are waterborne
  • 65% of children are affected by waterborne diseases

While providing water from the well, they also receive the living water.  "Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again.  The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."  John 4:13-14

A water well can be drilled for $2,100 providing a daily supply of clean running water for 500 people.
